If you're lucky, it could be either a bad cable or a bad crystal
oscilator.

For a replacement cable you can try SHH Systeme.

If you're going to make your own cable, you need to be careful as all
of the 40 pin male IDP DIP connectors I've come across have the
pinouts reversed as opposed the the one that comes with a TWGS.

If you replace your crystal, make sure you insert it correctly or
you'll fry the crystal.
