Re: NES on Apple II
I've read the other articles in the thread so far.

NES on Apple II
Is it possible to copy NES' ROM into Apple II memory location before I
can be able to program using assembly language to emulate NES' ROM. I
understand that NES uses 6502 microprocessor, but NES has more colors (256
colorss?) than Apple II has.
I'd say off the top of my head it might not be worth it to try and
*directly* copy the NES ROMs into an Apple//. Your best approach would
be to find a GS with an accelerator card and try to make a virtual machine.
This is to say, try to picture the NES hardware being emulated by the
GS. All calls for I/O are intercepted and handled by the emulator.
Processing might be done in a separate (empty) bank of RAM reorganised
to match the NES configuration.
I have no clue how fast an NES is, but the emulator will have to be
faster than a NES in order to handle I/O in a timely manner.
