There's some info about the Adaptive Firmware Card plus
info/links relating to obtaining videotapes which tell about using the
card at ...
http://www.apple2.org.za/gswv/a2zine/Docs/AdaptiveFirmwareCard.txt
The software made available by Bart seems to be for configuring
the card for use with various keyboards, etc. on a IIgs. It's
available as a ShrinkIt disk archive in the file
AddaptiveFirmwareCardDisk_sdk.zip at ...

Little kids love Donald Duck's Playground. Jan would need to help
control the program; but, together, it would be a fun and useful
activity. Most younger children are fascinated with making pictures
using programs like Platinum Paint (on the IIgs).
