HELP!
I'm an experienced Apple 2+/2e user but fairly new to GS/OS and I'm
trying to install version 1.03 of ORCA/pascal supplied with GS/OS 5.04.
My AE Vulcan HD has a 25MB partition for GS/OS 6 and a GS/OS 5.04
partition I have created for ORCA. Version 1.03 comes with an install
script which copy all the required files to your hard disk. I did use
that script but when I start orca.system from HD, it hangs on a text
display with ORCA banner at the top of the screen, no error message
whatsoever. The orca system runs fine from diskettes but it's more fun
to use from a HD right? Anyone had similar experience when installing
the programming environment?
It's a shame the 2GS had no built-in programming language like its
ancestors. Even a GS enhanced BASIC would have been nice :).
Cheers,
