OK, I finally have everything in place: IIgs, composite monitor, 800K floppy drive, SCSI card with rev C rom, keyboard, mouse, the 7 GS/OS disks and a 3 GB HD with two prodos partitions and a HFS partition with some downloaded games and other stuff. Now what do I do? I boot from the GS/OS install disk, and it asks me where I want to install. The only option is the :Install disk, but somehow I doubt that'll work. What do I need to do to install GS/OS on the HD?
If the option "Change Disk" doesn't give you any other choices, then it can't see your hard drive for some reason. Try booting a utility like Copy II Plus to see if it sees your hard drive. If it doesn't here's a few things to lok at. Make sure the hard drive is turned on and up to speed before you turn on the IIgs. Check the control panel to make sure the slot your SCSI card is in is set to "Your Card". Most people use slot 7Check the cabling and make sure the drive is terminated and preferably set to SCSI ID6.
Some of the Rev C SCSI cards don't supply term power without a mod. Something must supply term power, either the card, the drive, or an
Active terminator. Wayne
