I'm reading Enhance, Feb/Mar '92, pg. 15, in an article on new products. It's
describing the major upgade of the Quickie program, currently (1992) available
for both the ProDOS 8 version and GS/OS.
"The new ProDOS 8 version supports line art and photo scanning with dithering.
3.0 offers full screen display with no menu, standard 'get file' interface for
saving and loading, print selected printers/interfaces from Triple Dump
resources, as well as recognized Apple II 'type' automatically. 'Auto Search'
for interface card, scann black on white or white on back with image reverse in
line art mode, load/display/save in HR/DHR file formagts, and display scan
length/DPI settings before scan start are also added features.
You also get all of these new edit tools with the ProDOS 8 verson: cut/paste
with in single file or between files, horizontal and vertical flip, eraser tool
(multiple pixel size) pencil tool (single pixel, file default palette), pan
tool for panning images larger than one screen, and zoom mode for editing."
Now I'm doing most of this now, but with the GS version and DazzleDraw
combined. It would be great to handle it all from inside Quickie. Is there a
copy of the 3.0 software out there anywhere? All my version are 1.02,
which--confusingly, has some of the above "new" features, but not those
mentioned in the second quoted paragraph (at least, that I know of).
