Really?! I had no idea...But you know, in a very logical way, that makes
a whole lot more sense than what they did with the US motherboard where
the aux slot is almost over in Slot Zero territory. Since there are
relatively few cards you can use in Slot 3 when you're using the Aux slot
anyway...

On an incompletely unrelated note, I'd like to give a shout here to David
Empson. Not to exclude anybody else, certainly, but I think David
deserves a little recognition here...
I've been using Apple ]['s since ca. 1981, and I've been an
irregular reader of this newsgroup since ca. 1994. Irregularly mostly
because I just don't have time for all the traffic here as well as over on
rec.roller-coaster where I normally hang out. Anyway, for all of that
time, David Empson has been patiently sharing his *encyclopaedic*
knowledge of all things Apple ][, in spite of the recurring fits of
nastiness that keep chasing people away from comp.sys.apple2. Through all
the arguments, noise, and flameage, David continues to share with us, and
I swear, while I know a whole lot about Apples, every time he posts a
message it seems he manages to teach me something new. David, I'm very
happy to see you're still here...and if ever anyone seemed to embody the
spirit of USENET, you may well be the one.
