Two points... Apple// computers (the focus of THIS group) are not Macs and can not directly play Quicktime video. To contact Mac folk you would follow the same procedure you used to get here exvept you would look for "mac" not "apple".
The more important point is you should really be asking this in a Linux group. If there is a general streaming player for Linux it wouldn't matter which distribution you are running.
