	YES!

	You should ask this question in a Windoze group. You are experiencing an 
XP problem. This is not an appropriate area to discuss M$ problems. 
Although Quicktime is a product produced by Apple computers there is not 
a working version for the Apple// machine (which predates the Mac and is 
the purpose of THIS group).

	Alternatively you could contact Apple tech support. Good luck getting an 
answer though.

	The suggestion made by Exegete about switching to Linux is valid. The 
latest version of mplayer will support all video formats you can view in 
Windoze. What is more you get two speed and quality boosts from this 
combination when compared to the M$ Media Player. If that weren't 
enough, Linux versions of programs generally do not "phone home" and let 
people know what you are doing. Both M$ and Real Networks got caught at 
this. At present they are both unrepentant.
