Making nibble images of uncooperative titles

Hi. I've spent the last 2+ years archiving my Apple ][ disks with a
high rate of success (2K+ images and going). I've managed to normalize most
of the titles to DSK images, and NIB the rest. I've even gotten what I
consider some fairly difficult titles (such as Choplifter and Ruski Duck)
into NIB format using SST. But, a few elude me...

- Star Maze (Sir-Tech)
- Tangled Tales (Origin)
- Legacy of the Ancients, Deathlord, Wasteland, Chuck Yeagar & Strike Fleet
(Electronic Arts)

I've got the usual suspects (Beneath Apple DOS/Prodos, all the Computist
issues, Asimov archives, etc.) I know the EA titles can be normalized, but
Star Maze (4&4 encoded?) and Tangled Tales (18-sector pest) probably aren't
so lucky. One thing I haven't tried is messing w/the drive speed (will try
that later) That said, I guess my question is:

Other than SST, are there any other ways to make NIB images? Any hints
for SST (such as PARAM settings)?

I've seen some of the above titles on Asimov as NIB images, so I wonder
what I'm missing. My problem is some tracks CONSISTENTLY fail to transfer.
I can see that from the pre-nibblized data from SST after each track is read
in. Also from the disks crashing/garbled on boot. Thanks.

Dan
