I just pulled another one of my ROM 3's from the closet (which passed
through a few owners before it got to me) and its serial number starts with
"903xxxx" and ends with "xxxxA26000C". That differs from the ROM 3
("013xxxx") I mention above, which ends with "xxxxA0012C/A".
Another interesting thing is when comparing serial numbers between all
my IIgs's, I noticed some have different 825-xxxx-x part numbers listed on
the underside. There's 825-1267-A, 825-1267-B and 825-1444-B. I'm not
sure what these indicate, perhaps the location they were manufactured?

Apparently there were _some_ ROM 00 chips produced without
stickers, just a plain silk-screened part number (or perhaps if you
remove the sticker there's a part number underneath?).
This is just more useless trivia I suppose, most people will have
the opportunity to turn on the machine or just simply open the lid. :)
(and again, all the markings are meaningless if the board was
ever swapped).
