     One way to get caught up is to use Google's Advanced Search to 
locate the threads of interest.

     For instance, doing an Advanced Search ...

for  words-   CMS SCSI ebay
in newsgroup-  comp.sys.apple2
Sort by date

gets you matching messages starting with the most recent. One of the
messages is headed

From: Bryan Villados (news002@macgeek.org)
 Subject: Re: Blank CMS SCSI Card PCBs 
 Newsgroups: comp.sys.apple2
 Date: 2002-03-31 21:19:03 PST



     Doing a similar search for words-  web browser   with starting
date set to April 1 2000 would get you a listing of messages with
the earliest one headed ...
