The 7200 and the 8500 came with the cheaper 3.5" drives that have
problems with writing disks for the Apple II, but the Quadra 700 should
have no problems...providing that there's nothing wrong with the floppy
drive. It should be of the auto-inject variety and be the same
mechanism that's in the 1.44MB SuperDrive. I have often used a Quadra
650, which came after the Q700, to write disks for my GS or IIc+.
