You could program some eproms, but you'd need an expensive programmer.  The
upgrade also has a video chip, dunno if you can buy that anywhere.

The ROM 01 is by far the most common IIgs.  The ROM 03 is more desirable,
and it is easy to recognize. Pop the top, and look down along the right side
of the power supply. If you can see the battery, it's a ROM 03. On the
others, the battery is underneath the power supply.  So if it doesn't have a
visible battery, 9 times out of 10 it's going to be a ROM 01.  You can get
the parts off a ROM 01 to upgrade a ROM 00 if you want, or just swap the
motherbd.
