     Perhaps the floppy you are trying to send has a bad sector.

     Could be a speed problem on the Apple II or PC end. (Some older PC's
have suprisingly slow COM ports.)  More likely, the Apple II is having
trouble keeping up. You could try reducing speed.

     The target diskette needs to be pre-formatted. Usually, a good way is
to INIT the diskette under DOS 3.3.
