Bev, the Web is not about control, it's about access.

No permission is required to link to another URL.  Linking to other URLs
is the very nature of the Web.  If a URL is publicly accessible over the
Internet, then anyone can point to it from private or public correspondence
or from a public Web page.

You, of course, are free to take your Web site down, for whatever reasons
suit you.
