Hello...
Wondering if anyone can tell me how to make a backup copy of Multiscribe... I have a handful of original copies, but they are slowly all going bad (not recognizing side 2 of the disk). I've tried copying the good ones using Copy II Plus 7.1, but I'm obviously doing it wrong since the copies made from the *good* originals exhibit the same behaviour as do the *bad* originals.
Since I don't have docs for Copy II Plus, I'm not sure really what I'm doing.
FWIW I've been using
BIT COPY -->
AUTO COPY -->
NAME: MULTISCRIBE
And then leaving the 'technical' settings as is. During the copying process no errors are reported, but when I boot the disk it just hangs at the *INSERT SIDE 2* screen.
I presume there's some additional trickery needed to copy this one since I had no trouble copying Dazzle Draw and Ms Pac Man and a few others that I would presume to be copy protected.
PS. Lest anyone go on a tirade about how piracy is destroying software development for the Apple ][ ;-), let me state for the record that I'm *really* only interested in backing up for my own purposes and have no intention of creating a vast black market empire based on cracked A2 software...
Simon
