The function strip connected to a Videx Enhancer which was a replacement
for
the keyboard encoder. Yes, it requires propriatry software.
It's a very thin strip,about 1/16" which has to attach to the II or II+
cover due to the loaction of the enhancer connector.
I have one but I lack documentation. Haven't used it in some time
