Apple was never "changed to Mac." Apple is a company. Mac is a product. Your question is like "When was Ford changed to Mustang."

In 1984, Apple Computer released a new computer model. It was the Macintosh.

Prior to that, Apple sold the Apple II, IIPlus and IIe, was well as theApple /// and the Lisa.

Later in 1984 Apple released the Apple IIc, and in 1986 Apple releasedthe Apple IIgs.
