Probably AppleShare 2.0 or 3.0. Rev 2.0 takes over the Mac completely, 3.0
allows you to do other things with the Mac while it is acting as a server.
They are obsolete, and you can't buy them from Apple anymore, but if you
ask, someone will send you the software.

It is built in to the ROM of a ROM 3 IIgs. The earlier ROM versions of the
IIgs cannot network boot, they need a boot disk to start the process. Other
than that, it works the same.
and has anyone else here ever used a similar setup?
Well, not a whole classroom of IIgs's! But it's a good way to transfer files
from a Mac, and just fun to do.
