DuoDisk with a ][+ ?

For some strange reason, I dragged out my old A2p...

When I bought it (in '83) I used up most of my lawn-mowing
money...so I had to skimp on peripherals (knock-off 5.25"
drive, monochrome monitor).  Given the low price of used
hardware on eBay, I've decided to try to build the system
I really wanted.  However, my memory for such things is
long gone.

1st question:  Will the DuoDisk drive (and the corresponding
I/O controller) work in a ][+?

2nd question:  How do you get a disk image (I've seen some
on the 'net) onto a 5.25" disk in an Apple-readable format?
(I'm assuming that most of my disks will be toast by now...)
