Not a rack mount, but an injection molded case like the Apple II, and about
as wide and as high, but truncated in front where the keyboard would be.
On the faceplate in front are four pots and four switches to adjust the four
Schmidt triggers in the analog processing stream. Inside are several slots,
with almost the same pinout as Apple II slots, but adapted to provide analog
signal paths, as well.
It connects to an interface card in the Apple II with a couple of 34-pin
ribbon cables.
It was designed and marketed as a digital lab interface between an
Apple II and "real-world" electronics. Where the A/D-D/A boards had
a unconditioned inputs directly to the ADC, the ISAAC had customizable
signal processing (with plug-in boards) and triggering in the analog
domain, before hitting the ADC.
