Sounds like a clone of the Microsoft Z-80 Softcard. It is a card originally
used in the Apple II+ to use the wealth of CP/M based software that was
avaialable back in the day. Funny thing; more Apple IIs sold then all the
Kaypros, Osbornes, Compupro and other machines that used the Z80 processor ever
did. For that reason I do believe that most users of CP/M were actually Apple
users.
With boot disks you can indeed use CP/M (not MS DOS btw) on your GS. If not
avaialable here, go to comp.os.cpm and ask. A fellow there named Don Maslin
has backups of every CP/M based disk ever made (it seems) and will gladly send
you a copy of what you need for a small fee.
