Well, as one who has been around since before the dribble began in the
Apple II world, I just thought I would add my two cents.

It used to be that the Apple II world helped each other, gave each
other software, tips, and all the help they needed (See A.P.P.L.E.).
But in the years since 1990, the world of Apple II has become a place
for flame wars, hate mongering, and other dribble which isnt worth the
time of day.

Tom quit due to health problems, not that the hate mongers care that
the man is in ill health. He also got tired of having to deal with the
BS of the CSA2 groups. Personally sitting back and watching this
thread and seeing that it has more posts than any other thread is
absolutly ridiculous. I hope that when all of you get to your 60's and
70's you remember what you said here. It might be an eye opener.

As to Tom Z, Rudy, Steven W, Mark P, and others who still have that
desire to see the Apple II take it's rightful place here, keep the
faith brothers. It IS a labor of love and definately not a place for
those who cant handle the fire. It is a world of neighbor helping
neighbor but these days, there is the attitude of "To hell with that"
which is not conducive to maintaining the Apple II.

As to C.T. Turley, Good, Bad, or Indifferent, its sad to see anyone
quit the Apple II world who could actually help other Apple II users
as there are so few of us believers left and even fewer of us who
remember the good old days of the late 1970's. I know that he did try
to make stuff available, for everyone whether it was good or bad.

As to Rubywand, well, I think he puts a hell of an effort forth to
keep the FAQ's up to date and deserves the credit he is due. If we
had more people like him involved, the Apple II world would be larger
and still very much what is was.
