Re: ANN: Retiring from A2 world - Good Bye All!

Oh, this is a nice helpful post.

Since Tom is gone you feel you need to step up and keep away those who had been driven off by his offensive behavior?

Let's face facts people, the Apple II world can't afford to drive away anyone.

I've certainly never been called a fan of Beverly, and have little need of what she has contributed, but, how is the Apple II world made better by denying her work to those who do need/want it?

Nathan Mates created software. Beverly created software. Joe Kohn is one of the last people to sell and support software.

What have you created Steve?

How are Apple II fans enriched by not getting new software? How is our use of our machines enhanced by not being able to buy software that we want because no one has stocks to sell to use anymore?

Here was a wonderful opportunity to not post anything, and thereby improve our community. Too bad you feel that a smaller Apple II world is a richer one.

Beverly,

The mere fact that you are considering putting various works back online as
the result of Tom leaving is a shining tribute to the overbearing, arrogant
and out-of-touch-with-reality behaviour of folks just like you. Nathan
Mates, Joe Kohn, Quantum Cat, etc etc have done more to HARM the apple II
community over the last 5 years that any one of us "pirates" and "thieves".

Instead of "doing us a favor", why don't you just continue sulking and
pouting in the corner, whining about how unappreciative the rest of us are,
while the Apple II community continues to dwindle and wither, just as it
would have regardless of your actions.

Tom's driven "good folks" away? Not likely.

I don't know if I qualify as "good folks," but he definitely drove me

away. I

will consider putting some of my work, and the work of others to which I

have

access, back on the web. We'll see if it is true.
