First, you should be aware that comp.sys.apple2 is not an appropriate
newsgroup to post Mac questions. Look in the comp.sys.mac hierarchy for
a suitable group. (The Apple II was an earlier family of computers made
by Apple.)
Upon looking up your error code in one reference, it produces the
following description:
-199 mapReadErr
Map inconsistent with operation
This appears to be a Resource Manager error, and it is probably
referring to the "resource map", which is the index in the resource
fork, used to locate all of the resources in a file.
My interpretation: the application's resource fork is damaged, and the
only way you will be able to get it working is to reinstall it.
