Okay, I'm no expert, but as I recall, the fastest connection on a //c
is 19600 bps, so I imagine you could use a 14.4 kbps modem on it. The
fact that Lynx, the web browser you can use now with a //e or //c, is
text based means that flash and javascript aren't really an issue. Not
sure how they're going to deal with that in the new web browser that's
being developed now.
Sure, it's possible to dial directly to another computer, provided the
other computer is set up to interact with the Apple//. The real trick
is finding another computer to dial into. Not too many people running
BBS's that cater to the Apple // anymore. :-(
