Ok, I've downloaded and tried OzDOS. It uses drive 2 for the second 400K
whereas UniDOS uses drive 3. It does NOT recognize UniDOS disks at all,
even drive 1.
Likewise the patched FID that comes with it (FID+) does not recognize UniDOS
disks.
I then downloaded and tried AmDOS. I felt that AmDOS had a better chance
because at least it followed the drive 1 & 3 format that UniDOS uses.
Wrong! Not only didn't it recognize UniDOS but it didn't even recognize
ordinary DOS 3.3 disks in slot 6.
I can't believe this is the way it's supposed to be. It may be because I'm
using it on an emulator (Kegs32) or maybe I downloaded a corrupt file.
Anyway, AmDOS does not come with a patched FID but it does tell you how to
do the patching yourself. So to be complete I patched FID as instructed and
amazingly it seems to work. I can copy the files from UniDOS disks drive 1
or 3 to normal DOS 3.3 disks.
Thanks all for your help,
Charlie
