Apple IIe
Its an "Enhanced" Apple IIe with the 64kb RAM expansion & a Apple Super
Serial Card II (which is in port 2).
On the SSC I have the switches set as specified in the ADT readme.
SW1-1 OFF SW2-1 ON
1-2 OFF 2-2 ON
1-3 OFF 2-3 OFF
1-4 OFF 2-4 ON
1-5 ON 2-5 OFF
1-6 ON 2-6 OFF
1-7 ON 2-7 OFF
Terminal/Modem jumper has the arrow pointing towards TERMINAL
I boot to a DOS 3.3 disk, type: IN#2, then CTRL-A and 6B
PC
Using HyperTerminal that comes with Windows 98 Second Edition,
I setup a new Connection for COM1 (which the DB-9 cable is connected to. The
DB-25 is connected to the Apple SSC)
I set Bits per second to 300
I leave Data Bits at 8, Parity at None, Stop Bits at 1 & Flow Control at
Hardware. I leave the FIFO buffer stuff (in the Advanced section) at
default.
When I try to Send a Text File (adt.dmp), the Apple IIe beeps a few times
then a \ appears and it goes back to a cursor. It does this several times.
I've tried changing Character & Line Delay in the ASCII settings but the
same thing happens (though the beeps change slightly - its a few beeps,
pause, another beep or two then a \ and starts over.)
Reading thru the ADT readme, I thought it might be something with the
Linefeeds. But I don't see a "Strip Linefeed on output" option in HyperTerm.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
