Try CTRL-I 6B instead. Type CTRL-I (or CTRL-A) then you should get a
prompt from the SSC. Which one it is - CTRL-I or CTRL-A - depens on the
setting of the jumper block on the SSC. then at the SSC prompt type 6B
and then press RETURN. Now you should be all set.

By the way, a SSC in slot 3 will probably not work if you have anything
installed into the AUX slot (e.g. an 80 columns card and/or a memory
expansion). In that case better move the SSC to slot 2.
