Re: Computer differences

Apple II usually refers to the whole family, or at least the 8 bit members of the family.

Apple II (Autostart ROM added at some point)
Apple II+ (AppleSoft in ROM)
Apple IIe (there are three versions of the IIe, original, or unenhanced, enhanced, and platinum, which reduced chip count and added a numeric keypad) Apple IIc (there are several varients of the IIc, including the IIc+, which had a 4 mhz cpu and a 3.5" floppy drive.) Apple IIgs (Two different motherboards, and three different ROMs, the ROM 03 had the largest ROM, and 1.1 meg of RAM on the motherboard, as well as certain other improvements.)
