This is hardly an obsession. The Microdrive and CFFA started when CF was 
"state of the art" and the CF card simply became a defacto standard. (So 
far).

I  personally pefer standardization and tools, and since Ciderpress directly 
supports my CF Microdrive, and since my CF Microdrive has a sweet external 
case and I don't need to be a monkey to use it, I like it.

But Ivan, I only like it, and I am not obsessed with it:)

I don't get this obsession with small screens and use my phone to make voice 
calls. But my eyes are bad so I have a bias away from tiny screens. Other 
than that, small is beautiful, but floppy disk media is not. When it comes 
to "sneaker-net" give me USB, SD, or CF anyday... that was someone else's 
point that I agree with. I also do not agree that it is a "horrible waste" 
to not use all available disk space any more than it is a horrible waste to 
not buy every scrap of food in the grocery store, or to not drive all over 
the road, or to not let the toilet fill-up before flushing...
