Then shouldn't you be using a cassette recorder for storage?
There's just something about using FLOPPY DISKS, and I can still source the 3.5" ones easy enough, as well as the drives.So cook up a gizmo that runs the motor and randomly steps the stepper motor, and run that in tandem with a solid state drive.

Besides... if I burn out a floppy I lose less data than if I burn out a flash drive.-uso.
