As it says right in that link, MountIt only mounts ProDOS images. So, I
return to my original question: how do I use a DOS 3.3 disk image file
that resides on an AppleShare volume?
If you can see that file via the IIGS Finder, the potential is there
for DOS 3.3 Launcher to launch it. You first have to run the DOS 3.3
Copier program, select that disk image you want to use (it can ONLY be
a .dsk image, not a .DO or .nib) set its launch parameters (defaults
are best), then once you've returned to the Finder, double click on it.
In my experience, whole disk images are less likely to work than single
binary programs. What are you wanting to run via GS/OS? You might also
want to copy that disk image to your SCSI drive rather than trying to
launch it over AppleTalk – it'll eliminate one less thing in an already
fairly complex process.
