...since the license allows for distribution by Syndicomm alone, but doesn't imply ownership or the power to alter the APDA's copyright, etc., or to alter the terms of the distribution license, then it seems logical that as the sole licensee, only Syndicomm could distribute the files. Legally, it would be inappropriate for another site to offer the material for download without a license.

I'm assuming not many people in the A2 community will really care about the details. I'm also assuming Apple doesn't even care. It's all ancient history to Apple and we're of no real consequence to them.
