Sounds like you may be trying to plug a Euro-Apple Premium Softcard into
a US machine.

Looking at the component side of the board, is there a 1/2" x 1/2" notch
at the upper right? If so, my guess is correct.

I think I have a US version of the card (I bought it from the US, after
all) and it won't fit into a UK //e.

Ok, so you have a "Euro-Apple" with the AUX slot in line with Slot 3?

Is there somewhere other than Ebay where I can get a european version of
this card? And is anyone interested in buying my US card?

I do have the Euro version, but am not interested in parting with it. The Premium Softcard IIe is not a particularly common item, so I would think you could sell it fairly easily.

The Premium Softcards do not seem to age well. I have three of the US models and only one still works - the others hang the machine.
