Re: Structured to numbered BASIC convertor?

I haven't played with it yet, but there is Virtual Basic, a Python script that translates a more-structured version of basic into Applesoft. The main issue I have with it is that it flags labels using the pound sign (British currency, not #), which isn't exactly easy to generate on a US keyboard... I think it would be fairly easy to change the script to use something like a tilde (~), which I think Applesoft doesn't use.

The script is available at http://virtualbasic.org/

Hi,

Strange one here. On the Apple, I have a program called ProBes, designed
especially for blind people. This program lets you write Applesoft programs
without line numbers, and with the ability to specify labels in goto and
gosub statements and the like. When it creates the actual Applesoft program,
each line is given a number.

Is there anything like that for Windows, Linux, etc? I know there are plenty
of programs to go the other way around, converting numbered BASIC to
structured, unnumbered BASIC.
Thanks for any help!
