SO it is this macintosh version that has the definitive graphics, and I
would use them as a base for the GS version if possible.
I'd also redo the sound routine to take advantage of the GS.
Bit dubious that the PC98 version was the first to have the higher
resolution graphics. Pretty sure the Mac had them first. I could be
open to correction though. Most PC98 conversions from Western games
tended not to use the full resolution of the PC98 and used pixel
doubled artwork instead.
Besides, those graphics couldn't be used on the IIGS without major
changes — the resolution is just too high — PC98 games tended to use
640x400 with 16 colours. Best the IIGS can do is 640x200 with 16
dithered colours.
Yep, taking advantage of the IIGS's sound capabilities would be a must...
