Re: Transwarp GS freezes

The replacing of components has made the card a little more stable. That means the components may have aged. They were replaced, because if i cooled them, the card would run longer uninterrupted. If i warmed them, the card would crash right there. There isn't _one_ ting wrong, but several. The card is over 20 years old. Components aren't made for such a lifespan. Why i haven't use a Oscilloscope, logicanalyser and so on? Because i thought (hoped) there was _one_ thing wrong and i thought repairing the card wouldn't take that long. Now i have to actually set some Projects aside and organize my next steps. I have ordered enough components to rebuild that card from scratch! I was hoping to prevent going fully nuclear on the card. A systematic approach needs a _lot_ of time and i have to move some Projects out of the way. While i studied computer science i had similar projects, therefor i know the time needed to analyze a black-box. Nothing else does the TWGS represent right now. No one seems to have gone to analyze the logic-level of this card (at least there is nothing online). As soon as i have a pinout of the test-header, i can make a visual aid (most likely with leds) to help me analyze the boot-process. My Problem is, that there is a lot of 65816/02 assembler involved. I have to go into foreign territory here since i had learned assembler 1995 on a mpf-I (z80). If i get the problem(s) it could actually help some people who have the same problem. Please remember, this is a hobby! I have to eran my keep and am left with only around 8 hrs per week for this kind of stuff.
