Good detective work figuring it out before anyone got a response in.
If you want to continue with sofware not in your personal disk
collection you can use the cassette port like BLuRry mentioned, but
not only for AGS (apple game server), but also ADT (apple disk
transfer)  which transfers disk images to floppy for the larger
programs that will not fit entirely into memory.
