Well actually, the card is supposed to act like a printer device when
the special software is not being used.  So, if you set your output to
ascii and send it to the slot the card is in, it will speak what you
send it to 'print'.  Not worthless at all for proofing or e-mail.  :)

I bought the software from them a while back, it is (was?) for sale
separately.  Contact them and let us know if they do not still sell the
software.
