It seems like it should be possible, at least with the IIc+. The same
floppy drive will work on a Mac Plus and the IIc+, so it seems like it could
work. I think the 512K Mac required a driver on the HD20, where the Mac Plus
and later had the code in ROM to recognize the drive properly. So perhaps
it would just be a matter of writing that driver. Or maybe not. Seems like
Apple would have sold more drives if they'd written a driver for the Apple
II's as well.
Just in case, I have a stack of HD20's I'm hoarding. ;-)
