Well, since it plugged into the same sort of port, ie, not a II smartport, but 
a Mac that was based on that same original specification, it seems to me.... 
Mac should be similar to the way Apple II does the deed.  The HD20 must do 
something similar.  I do know that when you plug one into a //c and run Copy 
II+ and say "format" the HD20's light blinks. Sure looks like it is trying to 
format that thing.
I also know the HD20 works on any Mac that has the floppy port (early compacts, 
the IIcx, IIci and IIsi..at least those are the ones I have tried it on) and it 
is treated as a Floppy, ie if it is plugged in with a system on it and a system 
is also on the SCSI...  HD20 will boot first.  
  So no one really knows the specifications? No one has cracked the lid and 
looked at one?
I think I will just do that thing...
