it! <grin> I originally designed BBSLink with Proline BBS, then played with
AppleNet 1.1, and I am currently running it with IMAGE 1.0 on the Commodore
64. It is working fairly well, slight line noise issues due to the hand made

As for Commodore 64 hard drives, why do you need one? :) 1541's are all you
ever need. As for Apple IIgs solutions - nice .. get a FOCUS drive or an
Apple II SCSI card (if you can get one at the right price) and away you go!

As you can appreciate, software like BBSLink is a constant work-in-progress.
As I test new BBS software on it, I find new bugs. The 64, recently
connected, pointed out many shortcomings in the software, which have been
now rectified.

Anyway, to answer some of the questions ...

Well, there doesn't seem to be many around that are freeware. AppleNet was
okay, however I am surprised it even worked, if it ever did. It's modem
routines are fairly unreliable. ProLine works okay, but I found it fairly
hard to come to grips with since there is no documentation in sight.

Go the IIgs. I do not believe that there were any SCSI adaptors available
for the IIc or IIc+. Please correct me if I am wrong.
