Will that convert the IIgs bullets and curly quotes and other high
ASCII characters to normal characters or will it just convert them to
garbage characters?

I would think it would just produce similar garbage characters like I
saw viewing the file with Netscape since the value of the high ASCII
characters on the IIgs depends on the font that is used.
