Major Problems with .SHK files copying to GS PLEASE HELP!!!!

I finally thought I got somewhere and then I run into anoher roadblock!

I recently purchased a focus Hard drive for my GS (best 70.00 spent!), and I
wanted to get some old GS games onto the machine. Using my MAC I downloaded
some .shk files (from the GS fairway) to restore to my GS. I cannot seem to
copy these files onto an 800K disk using the MAC OS (ir just freezes).
Instead, I use a program called filecopier10. The .shk file copies fine.
So far so good.

When I insert the floppy to the GS running system 6.01 the file is there. .
. no problem (for some reason the Mac puts a "desktop" file in there too).

I now want to use GShk to unzip the file and play it on a normal 800K disk.
However Gshk does not allow me to unzip it to anywhere other than another
800K floppy, since I only have one drive I figured I would copy the .shk
file to the hard disk first and then use Gshk to unzip straight to a floppy.
I tried building a floppy using only one drive but Gshk seems to write half
the disk and then keeps endlessly telling me to re-insert the original. I
am left with a disk that looks like it has all of the data, but will not
work.

For some reason, I cannot copy the file to the hard disk. When I drag the
file over to the HD, the copy process begins and everything seems to look
like it is copying. However, soon, all disk activity stops and the status
message flips between "reading" and "writing" constantly with nothing
happening. What am I doing wrong?? I am at wits end with this!!

Does anyone have a solution for me!!
