ROM01s had their batteries soldered onto the motherboard.  To perform a direct
replacement you'll need to know how to perform component replacement on a PC
board.

At one time there was a clip on replacement for the ROM01 (Night Owl).  Some
others modified their boards with a battery holder to allow you to pop in
standard replacement batteries (Radio Shack may have this).
