Well according to the CSA2 FAQ (Do a web search) it is a fairly painless
process.  

Get a replacement battery with the wires as opposed to the Mac battery
which has none.  On the ROM1, cut the battery wires right at the battery
leaving the wires sticking up.  Now place the new battery where the old
battery was. (Note the polarity plus and minus).  Now twist the leads
together tightly using pliers or fingers.  Cut off the excess and fold
down towards the board.  Wrap in electrical tape if you like.

There is also the option of soldering on a batter holder you can get
from radio shack or an old Mac motherboard if you want to use the
battery from a Mac.

Of course you may also use any 3.6v lithium battery if you don't mind
soldering and/or slightly modifying the board.
