Could be a dirty focus control. Clean out with a blast of Cramoline (available
from Digi-Key, MCM, Radio Shack (?)). Please make sure the monitor is OFF when
you do this. Beware there are charged components inside that can bite you even
24 hours after you've switched it off!
	More likely a capacitor in the focus circuit getting hot and losing value.
Most TV guys should be able to repair that for you. 
	Have a try at fixing it.
