I wrote an Apple II utility called ZipStripper that strips a ZIP file
out of a self-extracting ZIP file so I know what you're talking about.

I just tried to used StuffIt Expander for Windows to unpack one of the
.sea.bin files on Apple's site and it won't do it. It will remove the
MacBinary header but that leaves me with a data fork and a resource
fork as two separate files for the .sea part and it won't unpack the
split file. I can find no way to get it to skip the MacBinary and
simply unpack the .sea file nor can I get it to extract the MacBinary
to a single .sea file to try and unpack that.

To compound things, the StuffIt format is proprietary so no one can
write a utility that will ignore the MacBinary header and
self-extracting code and simply unpack the StuffIt file that it in
there. :/
